There are many benefits to increasing testosterone, including the following:

– Increased strength and muscle size, improved recovery, better mood, better sleep quality, an improved libido, and improved sporting performance.

It is for this reason that many bodybuilders, athletes, and gym lovers try everything they can to boost their T levels.

This often leads to taking anabolic androgenic steroids. But while steroids will massively increase testosterone, they have a whole host of downsides.

And let’s not forget that they are illegal to possess and use without prescription in almost every country in the world!

Because there are so many upsides to increasing testosterone, and because so many people are unwilling to risk using steroids, there has been an explosion in natural testosterone boosters.

These supplements can range from the very effective to the completely ineffective. Sadly, the bad and mediocre testosterone boosters have turned the public sour on all testosterone boosters.

This is a shame because there are a lot of really good natural testosterone boosters out there.

In this article we will be looking at EVL Test which is brought to you by EVLUTION NUTRITION. The supplement promises to support natural testosterone levels, muscular strength and stamina. It also promises optimal sleep and gym performance.

EVL Test Ingredients List

EVL Test contains eight major ingredients: D-Aspartic Acid, Tribulus extract, Fenugreek, Diindolylmethane (DIM), Vitamin D, Zinc, Magnesium Aspartate, and Vitamin B6. Let’s take a brief look at each ingredient in turn, and assess how effective they are at boosting testosterone.

D-Aspartic Acid (3,120mg) – This is an amino acid that regulates testosterone production. If you are infertile and have very low testosterone then D-Aspartic Acid can temporarily boost testosterone levels [1]. But this only lasts for around 12 days or so. Not a bad short term ingredient at all, but long term it will be ineffective.

Tribulus ExtractTribulus Terrestris is a plant that is often used to increase libido and virility. Sadly while there is evidence that both libido and virility can be improved by Tribulus Terrestris [2], it has zero effect on testosterone. Often, test boosters add ingredients like this to boost libido (which is a common sign of high testosterone levels).

Fenugreek – Like Tribulus Terrestris, fenugreek is effective at boosting libido but has no effect on testosterone. If you are looking for more power in the bedroom then this supplement appears to be right up your street. One other benefit of fenugreek is that it appears to reduce appetite making it a potential weight loss aid [3].

Vitamin D – In men with low levels of vitamin D, there is a significant increase in testosterone when taking vitamin D as a supplement [4]. If you don’t see much sunlight then this ingredient could very well cause an increase in testosterone.

Zinc – There is evidence that zinc does increase both testosterone and growth hormone [5].

Magnesium – The same study found that magnesium could also help increase testosterone and growth hormone levels. Zinc and Magnesium are often taken together before bed to improve sleep quality. One of the biggest influences on testosterone levels is how well you sleep and for how long.

Vitamin B6 – Another ingredient that can help improve sleep by increasing melatonin production. Improved sleep leads to improved testosterone production.

Final thoughts

There are some decent ingredients here. Zinc, Magnesium, and Vitamin B6 are all excellent supplement ingredients for improving sleep and recovery from exercise.

This can lead to an increase in testosterone production. Vitamin D is a solid choice too. D-Aspartic Acid may not be a great long term testosterone booster, but in the short term it’s excellent.

However the inclusion of ingredients such as Tribulus Terrestris and Fenugreek is a bit of a red flag. These are common ingredients in mediocre testosterone boosters which are trying to hide their lack of effectiveness by boosting libido.

If you’re looking for an excellent sleep supplement that will help you with your sex life then EVL Test is a great choice. However, if you’re looking for an effective testosterone booster, there are better supplements out there.
